This is a newly developed concept designed to provide kayak fishing tournaments national exposure in Kayak Angler magazine. Participating tournaments receive exposure to 172,500+ readers with magazines available in 660 shops across the country. In addition to rounding up more participants the Kayak Angler Tournament Network showcases your event to sponsors, shops and supporters. This added profile of events will help promote the concept of kayak fishing tournaments across the country to sponsors and new kayak fishermen.

Sponsorship Details

We’ve developed a special advertising section called the Kayak Angler Tournament Network where we provide up to 15 tournament ads in each issue of Kayak Angler, so 30 tournaments per year. The advertising is provided at no-charge, value $1,560. We can also provide back issue copies of Kayak Angler for captain’s bags and a number of subscriptions for prizes.

In return, we’d really like Kayak Angler to be the media sponsor (call us the “Official Media Sponsor” if you can) of these tournaments. What does this mean? It can mean different things, I guess. It’d be cool if the magazine logo is included in your marketing materials, website and everywhere you can. I realize the sponsorship arrangements vary from event to event, we just ask that we are very well represented the best way you can.

Also, we’d also like to provide an event listing in advance and offer follow-up coverage of your event on kayakangleronline.com. The idea is that the news story on our site would feed readers back to the tournament site creating more exposure for your event and/or club and sponsors. This part is completely optional; if you’d like the follow-up coverage, we’re happy to help, just send us the details.

The Kayak Angler Tournament Network has been developed to provide local grassroots, regional and major kayak fishing tournaments increased exposure so they can grow and benefit anglers, the kayak fishing industry as well as the charities and/or organizations who host these great events

Ad Details

What should be in my ad? As a minimum your ad should include: Tournament logo, dates and contact information. You may also want to include a line about the tournament i.e. fish, location, charity etc. And, perhaps a list of title/main sponsors (logos or just a typed list of supporters)

What size is my ad? Your ad size is 3.687 inches wide x 1.9 inches high, at 300 dpi.

What format should I send it in? Create your ad in a design program like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark etc, and send it in TIFF, high-res JPG or PDF/X-1a (if you know what this is). Note: Word files don’t work for magazine publishing.
