Less than 20 pounds! We’ve had cats that weighed more. Yet Nymph will carry you to your favorite fishing spots, moving fast with a kayak paddle, stable enough to relax and eat lunch aboard while you slouch in the kayak-style seat. If you want to get the Nymph down to 15 pounds or less, you can build with 3/16” strips. 
This delightful little boat is designed for someone who wants a light, easy to handle recreational kayak of distinctive character. Its small size makes it easy to put on the roof of a car or on the deck of a yacht and transport it to your favorite lake or harbor. Once there, you will be able to gunkhole into places inaccessible by any other boat. Its stability assures that staying upright will not be an adventure. The 10 foot long version is best suited to people who need a truly compact boat.
The 11-foot Little Auk is identical to the 10-footer, but the longer version will carry a larger paddler and track more strongly.
This kayak is a shortened version of the standard Great Auk. It is a recreational kayak well suited to sheltered lakes and harbors where you may occasionally encounter moderate winds and modest waves. The relatively short length allows it to maneuver easily in tight streams and estuaries.
